Description
My best macro IMO.The original intention when I was taking this photo was to make the white buds and flowers seem as if they were blooming from a dark, lifeless, hopeless ground, and indeed it looked like that in the camera. But when I got it on the computer, I found that editing it with that goal in mind would not create a beautiful image as this full-color version, I loved the greens and reds of the background so much. So in the additional downloads sections are photos that try to communicate the original message, but IMO this one is the best.
The trickiest part was getting the right focus, since the flowers were swaying slightly in the wind and I can't tell what's in focus with an EVF camera. My solution was to take many shots, refocusing between each one

Great color contrasts! Especially like the small yellow ones!
Here I am a bit surprised the way you positioned the flower in the composition. To me it is rather obvious at a first peak that it is to close to the upper border.
Taking a sharp shot of the flower bud is impossible on a windy day outdoors.
Just try when there is no wind...
With the above said you got most of it in focus!
Keep experimenting!

the flower bud is close to the border for several reasons: 1. as mentioned before the wind was blowing and i was having trouble with focus so this is one of the two or three pictures i got with the right focus without the upper bud cut off. 2. i did not want to place the flowers too close to the center of the frame, because that would hurt composition even more than placing it too close to the top (IMO), and 3. i could not rotate or reposition the camera without introducing distracting/unwanted elements in the background (i tried!)
so you are 100% right, but it just didn't work out so well, and unfortunately those flowers are gone now, there were about 5 plants in that location, and somebody pruned them, or, more likely, a deer ate them.

The flowers would probably pop more if you would have used flash gently and full zoom of the S3.
If you'd like to make the background a bit darker (as it now looks a bit busy), there's quick way using multiply and grain merge layers with their transparent layer masks containing a copy of the original photo, maybe with contrast and brightness changed.

Agree about the tight crop at the top...but love the sharpness!
